Secure Rail adds Dierkx to conference speaker lineup

Secure Rail has added a speaker to this year's conference agenda: Keith Dierkx of the IBM Industry Academy.

Dierkx is IBM's global industry leader in freight, logistics and rail. He works with major railroads on the transformation of the industry including infrastructure rationalization and transformation; the use of analytics and insight to deliver more effective and efficient services; and safety and security.

His topic at Secure Rail will be "Securing the OT Environment," which he will address on May 1. The conference runs May 1-2 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, in Orlando, Florida.

Entering its fifth year, the annual event for rail security professionals has been expanded to include a greater emphasis on the topics of risk, legal issues, future trends and regulatory updates, conference planners said in a prepared statement.

Presented by Progressive Railroading, Secure Rail's mission is to bridge the gap between the future of rail technology and rail security.
