Webcast to focus on 'active shooter' mitigation

November's terrorist attacks in Paris, a mass shooting in San Bernardino and multiple incidents of gun violence worldwide have highlighted a need for all organizations — rail and transit among them — to reinforce security measures.

Progressive Railroading's partner publication, Building Operating Management, is rebroadcasting the "Active Shooter Mitigation" webcast, an information tool offering key strategies to manage and respond to an active-shooter event.

The program features information on policies/procedures, drills, importance of reception, communication, insurance programs, law enforcement liaisons, technology and crisis management that can be applied in a wide variety of settings.
