Good Earth Minerals LLC (GEM) and Rail + Industrial Partners LLC, formerly Rail Partners Management Group LLC, have entered into an agreement to jointly develop a rail-served terminal and product origination transload facility in southwest Utah, near Good Earth’s proposed mining operations in northern Arizona.

The terminal and transload facility will support the delivery of GEM's calcium sulfate dihydrate products to global and domestic markets. It will be designed to handle an initial rail volume capacity of 150,000 tons annually, with the ability to rapidly scale volumes as needed, the companies said yesterday in a press release.

The site will be designed with enough room to accommodate the addition of 20,000 square feet of warehouse space for pelletizing and bagging with an annual potential throughput of 50,000 tons per year. The proposed location gives GEM competitive access to the U.S. West, Latin America and Canada, company officials said.

"By leveraging transformative mineral technology, GEM aims to address environmental challenges and create positive change," said GEM Founder and CEO Janice Jones. "The partnership with Rail + Industrial Partners aligns with this vision, as it offers GEM the necessary support and resources to fulfill its mission."

The companies also expect to develop rail-served transload facilities in other high-demand markets.
