Fastfrate Group, a transportation and supply chain provider, is investing $55 million to build a 140,000-square-foot facility in CentrePort Canada Rail Park in Rosser, Manitoba.
Fastfrate is the first tenant to break ground in the 665-acre rail park project, which is being developed by Focus Equities Inc. The company has outgrown its existing space on Keewatin Street, company officials said in a press release.
Expected to open in 2024, the facility will be the first time that Fastfrate Group companies will be co-located and jointly operated from a single shared site. The new site is part of the company's plans for expansion into other Canadian markets. ASL Distribution and Canada Drayage Inc., also part of Fastfrate Group, will operate from the new faciltiy.
ASL Distribution offers transportation, warehousing and distribution services including e-commerce order fulfillment and final mile deliveries direct to consumers. Canada Drayage Inc. manages the transport of sea containers to and from major ports, rail yards and distribution centers across the country and into the United States.
The rail park will be served by CN and Canadian Pacific Kansas City.
