South Carolina Public Railways boots up Web-based RailSync system

South Carolina Public Railways recently implemented the RailSync® transportation management system — ShipXpress' first RailSync customer since the company acquired the Web-based system from Railinc in June.

A holding company for one short line and two switching railroads that serve the Port of Charleston, South Carolina Public Railways completed the RailSync installation last month.

RailSync includes applications designed to manage railroad operations, trace daily car-hire expenses, create Electronic Data Interchange transactions and generate Interline Settlement Systems transactions.

ShipXpress, which provides Web-based logistics software and services to railroads, rail shippers and rail-car owners, migrated RailSync to its platform in late August.
