Iowa Northern Railway Co. recently began a new interchange service to expedite trains moving from Union Pacific Railroad to Canadian Pacific, according to an item included in the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association's latest newsletter.The railroad will receive unit grain trains from UP in Manly, Iowa, and then move them to a CP interchange in Plymouth Junction.The new service is designed to relieve congestion at current UP-CP interchanges in Mankato, Minn., and Mason City, Iowa.
