The Texas North Western Railway (TXNW) and The Andersons Rail Group have established a rail-car repair and service center at the Panhandle Logistics Park near Sunray, Texas.

The new, 580-acre industrial park located in the Texas Panhandle is served by the TXNW Railway and BNSF Railway Co. A TNW Corp. subsidiary, TXNW owns and operates a private rail-car storage facility at the center that features nearly 11,000 storage spots.

"Our partnership with The Andersons will bring new competition, and an experienced and respected provider, to the Texas rail-car services market," said TNW Chief Executive Officer Paul Treangen in a press release. "Together, we see great potential for future growth."

The Andersons Rail Group operates 22 rail-car repair facilities in nine states, and owns a fleet of more than 23,000 cars.

“In the case of the Texas North Western Railway, we believe that having a rail-car repair option adjacent to the largest rail-car storage facility in the United States is a good fit," said Sam Anderson, vice president of rail operations at The Andersons Rail Group.

Panhandle Logistics Park is located about an hour north of Amarillo, Texas.
