Cando Rail Services Ltd. announced yesterday it's changing its corporate name to Cando Rail & Terminals Ltd. to reflect the company's ownership of a Canada-wide terminal network and a commitment to rail infrastructure.

Based in Brandon, Manitoba, Cando Rail & Terminals has eight terminals located coast-to-coast. It also provides integrated rail services — including short line operations, industrial switching and transloading — at more than 45 locations across North America.

"The name allows us to emphasize that we provide rail-based services, but we also own rail-based assets and terminals," said Brian Cornick, president and chief executive officer, in a press release. "Our message now is the same as it was 40 years ago: We're here to solve our customers' needs."
