R. J. Corman Railroad Co. announced yesterday it has begun providing rail service to National Cement Co. of Alabama Inc.'s new location in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Cement will be shipped to the Lebanon location served by R. J. Corman’s Nashville & Eastern Line (NERR). Inbound shipments will originate in Ragland, Alabama, and be interchanged with the NERR via CSX.

National Cement is a century-old company with a strong presence in the Southeast, R. J. Corman officials said in a press release.

“This new partnership highlights our commitment to providing reliable and efficient transportation solutions for our customers. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with NCC of AL,” said Adam Boyles, senior director of commercial development at R. J. Corman.

The first rail cars carrying cement arrived at the NERR line in early August, with full-scale operations and testing of all facility systems scheduled to begin sometime this month.
