ASLRRA launches website on alcohol, drug testing

The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association has launched a resource webpage containing drug and alcohol educational materials.

Developed in collaboration with the ASLRRA's Safety and Training Committee, the website enables members to access and download posters, forms, brochures and information on webinars to educate railroads, contractors and employees on required drug and alcohol compliance practices and testing.

In addition, the ASLRRA and the Federal Railroad Administration will host a two-day training seminar on drug and alcohol training. To be held Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2023, the seminar will address the recent inclusion of certain mechanical employees in federal testing. The seminar will be presented by Sam Noe, a drug and alcohol program specialist with FRA.
