Anacostia & Pacific relocates Chicago HQ; Watco assigns Baton Rouge Southern GM

Anacostia & Pacific Co. Inc. and Anacostia Rail Holdings Co. Inc. recently relocated their headquarters in Chicago. The companies, which had been housed in the Monadnock Building since 1992, now are located in the Railway Exchange/Santa Fe Building on Michigan Avenue.
The Santa Fe Building formerly was the headquarters of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, a BNSF Railway Co. predecessor.
Anacostia & Pacific Co. is a transportation consulting and development firm; Anacostia Rail Holdings owns and operates the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad, Gulf Coast Switching Co., Louisville & Indiana Railroad, New York & Atlantic Railway, Northern Lines Railway L.L.C. and Pacific Harbor Line Inc.
Meanwhile, Watco Transportation Services L.L.C. recently named Scott Henderson general manager of the Baton Rouge Southern Railroad.
Most recently assistant general manager of the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad, Henderson joined Watco’s Grand Elk Railroad in 2009. He previously was a locomotive engineer with Conrail and held various positions at CN.
