The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) has reached a tentative agreement with the Louisville & Indiana Railroad, the union announced last week.

Ballots were mailed to active members employed by the short line and are due by April 29, according to a BLET press release.

The tentative agreement covers rates of pay, benefits and work rules for about 20 members.

The Louisville & Indiana operates 106 miles of rail line between Indianapolis and Louisville, Kentucky. It serves the ports of Indiana and Jeffersonville.
