The Columbia Terminal Railroad is marking its 25th anniversary, according to a news brief included in the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s “Views & News” issued on Aug. 15.

The 21-mile short line plans to hold ceremonies Oct. 2 in Columbia, Mo., to commemorate the milestone.

Also known as the COLT, the Columbia Terminal Railroad is owned by the city of Columbia and operated by Columbia Water & Light. The railroad’s line runs between Columbia and Centralia, Mo., where it interchanges with Norfolk Southern Railway.
