FECR launches shipment tracking portal

Florida East Coast Railway (FECR) has developed an online portal that allows the regional's customers to track shipments and equipment across the network, company officials announced yesterday.

Known as FECR Connect, the system also streamlines the process of submitting and managing shipping instructions electronically. A customer dashboard provides a comprehensive view of all shipments in the FECR system at any time, as well as a detailed history of a particular shipment, according to an FECR press release. 

The system was designed to make planning and tracing shipments more efficient for customers, said President and Chief Executive Officer James Hertwig.

FECR Connect serves domestic as well as international intermodal customers.
