Today, The Greenbrier Cos. announced its Greenbrier Management Services (GMS) division will provide Web-based car hire payables processing services to Florida East Coast Railway L.L.C. (FECR).
A rail-car management company, GMS will process car hire payables on all equipment interchanged with FECR, including conventional and intermodal cars, trailers and containers. GMS currently provides car hire payables processing services to Minnesota, Dakota & Western Railway, and International Bridge Terminal Railroad.
“FECR is a regional railroad, but its carload and intermodal traffic is similar to that of Class Is,” said FECR Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Amy Bramlitt in a prepared statement. “The GMS platform provides the functionality to process payables in a timely fashion.”
