Ironhorse Resources Inc. has signed a contract to develop and operate the Gateway Rail Industrial Park in Laredo, Texas.

The rail park will be located within Kraus Development’s Gateway Industrial Park, which is located at the intersection of Interstate Highway 35 and Texas Highway 255 and along a Union Pacific Railroad line, Ironhorse officials said in a press release. The future rail park will provide short-line access to the UP line for the industrial park tenants to support U.S.-Mexico trade.

Gateway's development offers positioning for distribution centers, dry and cold storage, manufacturing, construction, energy and produce sectors. Ironhorse Resources operates eight short lines as well as a number of transload facilities and trucking companies in the United States.

"This development not only expands our footprint in Texas but also reinforces our commitment to providing top-tier rail solutions that drive economic growth and operational efficiency for our clients," said Ironhorse Resources President Matt Cundiff in a press release.
