Lake State Railway Co. (LSRC) and Antin Infrastructure Partners announced a strategic investment partnership that will position the Michigan short line for growth.

The company’s management team, which has led LSRC for nearly 10 years, has overseen significant capital investments and strong growth in its customer base, LSRC officials said in a press release. Antin is a private equity firm focused on infrastructure.

"We look forward to working with Antin to grow our customer base and expand our rail network," said LSRC President and CEO John Rickoff.

LSRC operates a 375-mile line spanning the eastern corridor of Michigan’s lower peninsula. Formed in 1992, the short line provides freight transportation, rail-car storage and transloading services. It has bi-directional rail access across the United States and Canada through interconnections with multiple Class Is.
