Maureen Werner has joined MxV Rail as vice president of engineering, bringing extensive engineering knowledge and rail industry experience to the research center.

In her new role, she is responsible for leading more than 100 engineers who provide research, testing, and ancillary services for MxV Rail’s customer base.

Werner recently retired from TTX Co., where she had served as the assistant VP of engineering and research since 2008.

She also previously served as chair for the Association of American Railroads’ (AAR) Equipment Engineering Committee.

“Maureen’s well-established reputation and leadership have raised the bar for engineering in the rail industry,” said MxV Rail President and CEO Kari Gonzales in a press release. “She will bring a new perspective to our operations and will be an outstanding addition.”

Formerly the Transportation Technology Center Inc., MxV Rail is an AAR subsidiary that was established to support the rail industry's research and engineering needs.
