NC Railroad launches flagging, safety services product

The North Carolina Railroad Co. (NCRR) recently began offering a new product consisting of flagging, safety and protection services within its rail corridor.

The new services are designed to enable qualified roadway worker-in-charge and flaggers to ensure safety and coordination during construction, repair and maintenance projects, NCRR officials said in a press release.

John Gass, NCRR's senior manager of safety and compliance, will lead the new program. Gass has more than three decades of experience in the Class I industry.

"NCRR's new track protection program will help projects along our corridor deliver on time and safely," said Trish Haver, NCRR's chief commercial officer.
