OmniTRAX Inc. in 2021 provided 1 million meals as part of its initiative to fight domestic food insecurity, the company announced today.

Through its Good Neighbor Program, OmniTRAX works with local food banks located in markets served by its 24 rail affiliates to distribute the meals across the country. The company also provides food bank donations and local employee volunteers to support community meal pledges. OmniTRAX's parent, The Broe Group, matches each food bank commitment.

"Given the rising need for food and the ongoing strain of manufacturer and retailer supply chains, these meals offer timely relief and greatly reduce the risk of community hunger," said OmniTRAX CEO Dean Picante in a press release.

Participating OmniTRAX affiliates include Alabama & Tennessee River Railway, Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway, Cleveland & Cuyahoga Railway, Fulton County Railway, Great Western Railway of Colorado, Georgia Woodlands Railroad, Georgia & Florida Railway, Illinois Railway, Northern Ohio & Western Railway, River Ridge Railroad, Sand Springs Railway Company, Savannah Industrial Transportation, Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad and Winchester & Western Railroad.
