OmniTRAX will provide rail service to a forthcoming industrial facility to be developed by the railroad's affiliate, Broe Real Estate Group (BREG), in Georgia's Fulton County Industrial District. BREG recently acquired the 14-acre property at 5601 Bucknell Drive with the intent to create a build-to-suit site.

The acquisition is a rare redevelopment opportunity within Atlanta's Interstate 20 West submarket, which is home to UPS, Amazon, Lowes, Google and Walmart sites, BREG officials said in a press release.

BREG plans to develop a 225,000 square foot build-to-suit industrial facility with rail service provided by Fulton County Railroad (FCR), one of four OmniTRAX railroads in Georgia. Pad-ready construction is forecasted for February 2025.

"This project leverages our existing Fulton County Railroad service with an exceptional urban site that can serve 80% of U.S. population centers," said OmniTRAX Chief Commercial Officer Ryan Higgins.

The Broe Group, parent company of OmniTRAX and BREG, is based in Colorado. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed in the press release.
