Providence and Worcester signs eight-year contract with TCU

The Providence and Worcester Railroad Co. (PWRR) recently entered into an eight-year collective bargaining agreement with the Transportation Communications International Union (TCU), which represents all of the railroad’s clerical employees.
Details of the contract — the longest-term contract the union has signed with a railroad, according to PWRR — were not disclosed.
The 545-mile regional operates lines in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York.
