RailAmerica Inc. recently launched a redesigned industrial development website, which targets current and prospective customers who are interested in building or expanding a rail-served facility or developing a transloading solution.

Accessible at www.railamerica.com/industrydev.aspx, the site provides a list of all locations that are accessible to RailAmerica subsidiary railroads.

The improvements to the website include enhanced search capabilities and detailed information for featured properties. An initial search page displays showcased properties that are state-certified or shovel-ready, while a “details” function provides in-depth information about selected properties.
 
The industrial development group is focused on helping existing and potential customers find sites more easily and seamlessly, and the new website “supports this philosophy by providing sophisticated online tools that enable the site-selection process,” said Gary Lewis, RailAmercia’s senior vice president and chief commercial officer, in a prepared statement.
