The Short Line Safety Institute (SLSI) is seeking candidates for an executive director position.The SLSI is being developed by the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) with the Federal Railroad Administration, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center and University of Connecticut. The executive director will be responsible for implementing the institute's mission, vision and goals, and will develop the budget and oversee required financial reports, according to an SLSI press release.The position will be supported by the senior adviser and grant administrator, and will work with ASLRRA staff on strategic communications and program development. Applicants are encouraged to send an email with resume and cover letter, including salary requirements, to SLSI@aslrra.org.
