Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
Cubic Transportation Systems Inc. recently signed a contract with Metrix Inc. to purchase customer-service automation software. Cubic plans to integrate the software with its public transit automated fare-collection central computing system and back-office software suite.
Cubic will integrate Metrix’s 4e ProductService™ into its software platform in phases during the next year.
Cubic plans to use the Metrix 4e IDM module to provide customers remote monitoring and real-time alerts via the Internet.
Cubic expects the Web-based software to improve service-call response times and productivity by streamlining the service process and increasing operational efficiency, according to a prepared statement.
