Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
TranSystems Corp. recently acquired Massachusetts-based public transit consulting firm Multisystems, which specializes in transit-service planning, fare policy, technology, Intelligent Transportation Systems and paratransit.
A transportation engineering, architectural and planning service provider, TranSystems plans to combine resources and customers with Multisystems to enhance its offerings and attract a greater share of the transit market, according to a prepared statement.
Based in Kansas City, Mo., with 27 offices around the country, TranSystems expects to expand into Canada, Vermont, Florida and New Jersey because of the Multisystems acquisition.
