Cubic Transportation Systems Inc. is expanding its Card Services Group to integrate new products and services into smart-card systems.

The supplier will provide administrative and management services to help transit agencies link their smart-card-based fare-collection systems with other transportation-related and third-party products and services, such as parking, tolls, taxis, event ticketing, concessions, retail and security access control

"Cubic has invested millions in developing open architecture smart-card components, peripherals, software and network solutions," said David deKozan, Cubic’s vice president, strategic planning, in a prepared statement. "The Card Services Group will be able to capitalize on these elements and deliver integrated solutions to additional vertical markets now in demand."
