GE Plastics introduces infrared-absorbing window application for public transit market
advertisement
GE Plastics recently introduced the Lexan™ Margard™ MR5 IR sheet, the company’s first hard-coated, polycarbonate sheet designed for the transportation industry, according to a prepared statement.
Featuring GE’s hard-coating technology, the sheet is designed to let in natural light while absorbing infrared heat and UV radiation. The sheet can help reduce energy costs by reducing heat build-up on hot and sunny days, and retaining heat on cold days.
