Web-based transportation and logistics service provider RMI is launching a new suite of online services targeted at rail shippers, and rail-car owners and lessees.
Building on its existing Web-based freight management system, RMI now will offer proactive shipment monitoring, performance metrics, route optimization, fleet utilization and analysis, maintenance coordination, freight rate review and negotiations, and private car accounting services.
The company will offer the suite through a partnership with Houston-based Lodestar Logistics Corp., which provides logistics services to North American shippers.
