Rockwell Collins Inc. announced last week that it completed the acquisition of ARINC Inc. from The Carlyle Group for $1.4 billion. The company expects the impact of the acquisition to be EPS accretive once certain transaction and integration costs have been incurred. The majority of integration activities are expected to be completed in six to nine months. For the near term, customers can expect business as usual, company officials said in a press release.

Parsons Brinckerhoff named Chin Lai a senior project controls manager in the Washington, D.C., office, where he will provide support to transportation projects. His responsibilities will include evaluating new construction and rehabilitation requirements, structuring contract options, preparing budget proposals and aligning resources to execute projects. Lai has nearly 30 years of program management experience with major capital improvement and infrastructure rehabilitation projects. Prior to joining the Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was construction management services director for a Maryland consulting firm.
