Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight

Rail supplier news from Rail Europe, Trinity, Watco, WAGO and CH2M Hill (March 18)


Rail Europe Inc. and Rail Europe 4A have consolidated under one business unit now known simply as Rail Europe. They will continue to exist as two legal entities, with Rail Europe Inc. providing European rail products in North America and Rail Europe 4A continuing similar operations in Asia, Oceania, South America, Africa and the Middle East. Altogether, the company employes more than 300 people and has offices around the world.

Trinity Industries promoted Scott Beasley to vice president of corporate strategic planning. Beasley previously served as an associate principal with McKinsey & Co. before joining Trinity as executive director of finance in February 2014.

Watco Terminal and Port Services hired Albert Perez II as terminal manager of the company's Linden, N.J., location. In his new role, Perez will focus on maintaining high quality customer service, ensuring targeted profitability and supporting overall attainment of performance goals.

WAGO appointed Jared Ryan as regional sales manager for upstate New York. Prior to joining WAGO, Ryan worked for several years in application and sales management at Emerson Network Power.

CH2M Hill has set up an exhibition showcasing its rail-related expertise at the Middle East Rail Conference 2015. Additionally, Mark Loader, the firm's global rail director, yesterday spoke about challenges facing Saudi Arabia's Madinah Metro. The conference began yesterday, and it will conclude today.
