Rail supplier updates from OpenText Analytics, Wasatch, Hub Group, Atlantic Track and J.L. Patterson (July 8)

MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) has begun implementing OpenText Analytics to manage and analyze transit information to provide optimized service. The new software allows NYCT's operations planning team and field employees to respond to performance issues more quickly than before. OpenText also provides improved data visualization along with daily and ad hoc reports, according to a company press release.

RR Mergers & Acquisitions announced the sale of Dimec Rail Services' Shoshoni, Wyo., rail-car repair operations to Wasatch Railroad Contractors. Dimec Rail Services will continue its mobile rail-car repair, fabrication and welding services from its existing locations across the country.

Hub Group named Douglas Beck vice president, secretary and general counsel. He joined the company as assistant general counsel in 2011. Beck has more than 20 years of experience advising companies through private practice and as a legal executive. He previously served as senior counsel with Alberto-Culver Co., in addition to other counsel positions at Navistar International Corp., Allegiance Healthcare Corp. and Seyfarth Shaw.

Atlantic Track promoted William Roan Jr. to vice president. Roan joined the company in 1993, and has contributed to Atlantic Track's growth and development, according to a company press release. Through Roan's efforts, the company's transit group has become an important revenue generator, company officials said.

J.L. Patterson & Associates Inc. was selected one of Zweig Group's 2015 "Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For." The awards program recognizes top engineering and architectural firms in the United States and Canada based on workplace practices, employee benefits, retention rates and several other factors. J.L. Patterson has received the honor four times.
