U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) earlier this week joined representatives from TRAC Lubricants & Coatings (TLC) and the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad for a product demonstration featuring one of the short line's locomotives.
Based in Yeadon, Pa., TLC specializes in the distribution and manufacturing of thin film coatings, dry film lubricants, paints greases, anti-seize and adhesives. The company primarily serves the aerospace, rail and transit, medical, industrial and automotive industries. The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad is one of the company's customers.Fitzpatrick also discussed public policy priorities for the business and rail communities in southeast Pennsylvania. He highlighted the Building Rail Access for Customers and the Economy (BRACE) Act (H.R. 4626/S. 2595), which would make the federal short-line tax credit permanent. "TRAC has a proud history of serving customers in the rail industry and especially here in southeast Pennsylvania," added TLC President Mike Jumper. "It is crucial that our congressional leaders see the positive economic impacts strong railroads and rail suppliers have on their communities."The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) coordinated the event.
