U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) earlier this week joined representatives from American TieTek LLC and LT Resources Inc. to tour TieTek's manufacturing facility in Marshall, Texas.

The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) coordinated the event.

LT Resources President Linda Thomas and TieTek Vice President of Operations Dale Ramthun led the tour of the plant, which produces recycled and recyclable composite products.

LT Resources serves as the exclusive distributor of American TieTek's products in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

During the tour, the group of attendees discussed the Building Rail Access for Customers and the Economy (BRACE) Act, which would make the short-line tax credit permanent.

Other attendees included Chet Oaks, trainmaster at R .J. Corman Railroad Group; Chad Sutton, operations manager at TieTek; Mike Thompson, owner of Texas Plastics Recycling; and Sean Winkler, REMSA's grassroots coordinator.
