Government officials help celebrate TRAM's 35th anniversary

TRAM Construction welcomed staff members of U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin this week to mark the company's 35th anniversary.

Located in Garrison, Kentucky, TRAM is a family owned and operated railroad contracting company that provides track services and rail materials for the public and private sectors.

At the Oct. 17 celebration, TRAM Founder and President Terry LeMaster presented an overview of the firm and its current operations. Guests toured a facility where TRAM maintains an inventory of relay rail and other railroad track material, which is sorted for use in future track projects or processed and sold as piling or scrap to local foundries.

TRAM employs 25 people and has served clients in the U.S. Midwest and Southeast, according to a press release issued by National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC), of which TRAM is a member.

This past spring, TRAM extended its track siding and began leasing a portion of its yard to Koppers.

In addition to LeMaster, attendees at this year's events included Leslia LeMaster Wilson, operations manager at TRAM; Lindsey LeMaster, business development manager at TRAM; Aaron Thompson, field representative for Bevin; Chris McCrane, district director for Massie; JR Reed, senior field representative for Massie; Shane Noem, field representative for McConnell; Lindsey Collins, vice president of grassroots advocacy at the NRC; and Sean Winkler, director of advocacy at the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association.
