Danella Rental Systems Inc. acquired Aspen Equipment Co.’s rental division. Danella provides hi-rail vehicles construction rental equipment and Aspen Equipment builds hi-rail vehicles. Aspen Equipment will remain in the industry, focusing its resources on production and service of new railroad truck equipment, Danella officials said in a press release.

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. will implement PS Technology’s (PST) CrewPro Short Line™ railroad crew management and hours-of-service (HOS) system, and the QualPro™ qualification and training management solution across its rail network. CrewPro Short Line automates much of the crew calling process while simultaneously tracking HOS to prevent inadvertent violations of Federal Railroad Administration regulations, PST officials said in a press release. The mesh  was affixed to the pre-fabricated structure with Cambridge’s Eclipse attachment system.

Railserve provides on-site rail services, including third party rail switching, in-plant logistics, locomotive service, track maintenance, locomotive sales and leasing, and car repair inspection, cleaning and maintenance services through Union Tank Car.

Alstom announced it will supply 17 additional Citadis trams to the Strasbourg Transport Company (CTS) and the Eurometropole of Strasbourg in Germany. Also, Alstom completed 10 days of testing of its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell train in the Netherlands as part of a pilot program with the Province of Groningen, Arriva, ProRail and Engie. Meanwhile, the Asocierea RailWorks consortium, lead by Alstom, has been awarded a contract with CHR SA, the national rail carrier of Romania, to modernize 105 miles of rail infrastructure. The consortium will provide digital train control, traffic management and electrification infrastructure on the European Rhine-Danube rail corridor, Alstom officials said in a press release.

The Swedish Transport Administration awarded a contract to Jacobs to provide consultancy services for the construction of three high-speed rail lines between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo in Sweden.
