American Track has acquired Dirtworks Rail of the Carolinas, which now will operate as part of American Track. Since Hilltop Private Capital consolidated two rail-service companies to form American Track in 2016, the company has continued to grow through acquisitions. It now operates in nine locations across the United States, providing rail-support services to essential mines, ports, refineries, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, transload and rail-car maintenance facilities, short lines and mainline railroads.

Otis Elevator Co. has been selected to supply hundreds of elevators and escalators for six projects across Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. In Toronto, Otis will supply 111 of its NPE™ escalator units for the Eglinton Crosstown Line and five Gen2® elevators and four NPE escalators to the Line 6 Finch West light-rail  line. In Montreal, Otis is installing 79 escalator units across 26 stations for the REM light-rail network. In Ottawa, Otis recently provided 58 elevators for Stage 1 of the Ottawa O-Train Line 1. Otis was also awarded Stage 2 of the project with an additional 69 elevators and escalators across 15 stations. Otis will provide an additional 28 Gen2 elevator units for Ottawa's O-Train South extension.

Keolis announced Pierre Gosset has been named executive director of the industrial division, effective March 1. He will also join the group's executive committee. Gosset has more than 25 years of experience in the transport sector, including a stint as chief technology officer at Systra. At Keolis, he will be in charge of business and industrial excellence, and of consolidating the group's contribution to the energy transition.

WSP USA has hired Peter Waldt as director of commercial planning and development. He will lead efforts to find commercial value in public transportation, rail and highway sectors, as well as property portfolio management for clients. Waldt has nearly 40 years of experience, including in asset monetization and transit-oriented development transactions.
