WSP USA has named Jannet Walker-Ford the firm's national transit and rail leader. In her new role as a senior vice president, she will be responsible for growing the firm's business in the transit and rail markets; developing client relationships within state and local transit agencies, consultants, industry associations, railroads and contractors; and establishing strategies that will position WSP for major assignments. Most recently, Walker-Ford served as a SVP for the transit market sector-Americas at an international engineering services firm. She's also a former deputy general manager/deputy chief executive officer and chief information officer for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

HDR's transit and grant experts have helped three transit agencies secure a combined $1.23 billion in grant awards for capital projects through the Federal Transit Administration's Capital Investment Grant program. The recent grant awards are $530 million for Valley Metro's South Central Extension; $174 million for the Kansas City Streetcar's Main Street Extension; $173 million for Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District's (NICTD) South Shore Line double-track project; and $355 million for NICTD's West Lake Corridor Extension.

Maser Consulting, a national engineering design firm, has completed its rebranding as Colliers Engineering & Design. In 2020, Colliers, a global commercial real estate services and investment management firm, acquired a controlling interest in Maser. Under Colliers' decentralized business model, Colliers Engineering & Design maintains Maser Consulting's senior leadership, systems and values.
