RailMark Trucks and Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) earlier this week hosted U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids (D-Kan.) for a tour of RailMark's manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Kansas.
Davids serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure as its vice chair and the Committee on Small Business, on which she chairs the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access.
RailMark Trucks's custom-built trucks include locomotive refuelers, hirail pickups, and material handlers which can load and unload ties, according to a REMSA news release.
"RailMark was excited to host Congresswoman Davids, REMSA, Watco and the Kansas Association of Counties," said Kevin LaValley, RailMark's director of sales and marketing. "We welcomed the opportunity to show off our facility and how we serve the rail industry, which is vital to the state of Kansas and the Kansas City area."
Attending the tour with the congresswoman were LaValley; Angela Schaefer, accounting manager at Watco; Bruce Chladny, chief executive officer, Kansas Association of Counties; and Cooper Ehrendreich, government affairs manager, REMSA.
