Mullen Group Ltd. has acquired R.S. Harris Transport Ltd. of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The acquisition closed July 1. Harris is a trucking and brokerage company specializing in open deck transportation, with more than 35 years of experience serving North American customers in the steel, agriculture equipment, industrial, construction, rail products and energy industries. Harris operates a fleet of 50 company tractors, 165 trailers and generates more than $25 million in annualized revenue. "Over the next few months, we will work with the customers and employees to transition the business of Harris into the Gardewine Group of Companies, the best way to realize synergies," said Murray Mullen, Mullen Group's chairman and chief executive officer, in a press release.

Alstom's board has approved the "Alstom in Motion 2025" (AiM 2025) strategic plan and midterm financial objectives. The expanded strategy AiM 2025 will focus on capturing strong market-growth opportunities, reinforcing innovation leadership and driving efficiency throughout the new organization and ensuring the successful integration of Bombardier Transportation, company officials said in a press release.
