Transdev has appointed Susan Sweat chief operating officer of Transdev U.S. In her new role, Sweat will have overall operational and financial responsibility for Transdev's contract locations across the United States. She will oversee transit operations, managing five regional vice presidents, as well as managing the expertise and support areas of fleet and maintenance, performance, safety and security, project management, rail and non-emergency medical transport. Sweat joins Transdev after more than 30 years at FedEx Express.

Valley Metro, in partnership with the city of Phoenix and Vix Technology, is launching the new Valley Metro app that features real-time bus and light-rail tracking and trip planning. On behalf of the region, Phoenix has contracted with global payment systems provider Vix to modernize Valley Metro's regional fare system, giving riders greater tools and flexibility to access the transit system, Valley Metro officials said in a press release.

WAGO Corp. hired Danny Woodlief to serve as an electrical contractor and wholesale specialist for the eastern United States. He previously served as vice president of sales at Electro-mechanical Supply Co. After more than 20 years in electrical distribution, his focus shifted to factory automation, taking a job with GE as an automation sales engineer before moving onto Wieland Electric as a regional manager, according to a WAGO press release.
