Rail supplier news from Keolis, Wabtec, Hub and Industrial Networks (July 9)

David Scorey has been appointed president and chief executive officer for Keolis North America. Scorey will oversee all Keolis operations in North America. He takes over the position from Clement Michel, recently appointed senior executive vice president of human resources and transformation of Keolis Group, headquartered in Paris. With more than three decades of experience in the public transportation industry, Scorey is a proven leader in advancing organizational safety, strengthening relationships with public transit agencies and improving the passenger experience, Keolis officials said in a press release.

Byron Foster has been named to Wabtec Corp.’s board. Foster president of Dana Inc.’s light-vehicle drive systems business. Prior to this role, Foster was Dana’s senior vice president and chief commercial, marketing and communications officer. Throughout his 30-year career, Foster also held senior executive commercial and operational roles at Johnson Controls Inc. and Adient.

Hub Group has promoted Vince Paperiello to president of intermodal and chief solutions officer. He will be responsible for the performance of Hub’s intermodal business as well as his current role leading customer solutions. Paperiello joined Hub in 1993 as a customer service representative and has served in a variety of operational, logistics management, business intelligence and pricing leadership positions within the company, according to a Hub press release.

Industrial Networks announced the latest addition to its suite of rail-yard management tools in the form of an operations management platform. The INet Gateway is designed to enable users to complete rail-yard inventory, rail switching, inspections, photos for rail-car repairs, AEI and EOT tag programing, security seal tracking and reviewing usage analytics and other activities. The new INet Gateway platform has been piloted over the past year and has been implemented in rail operations throughout North America, according to a company press release.
