Asite announced its platform was chosen as Trainyard Tech’s new construction management platform. Trainyard Tech builds modular and custom products for complex process automation applications. Asite’s platform will help the company ensure that freight trains are loaded and classified to their correct location and earn an ISO 9001 certification. The agreement will allow for better management of electronic assets, collection of data and more effective collaboration, Asite officials said in a press release.

SMRT Trains and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore awarded Thales a long-term services support contract to provide its SelTrac communication-based train control signaling system to the Singaporean rail network. The agreement requires Thales to provide ongoing repair services and technical support for the signaling systems on Singapore’s oldest train lines until 2033. The SelTrac system first entered service on the country’s North-South and East-West lines in 2017.

Road & Rail Services appointed Robert Coleman as president. He joins the third-party logistics provider from Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, where he held leadership positions in financial and process transformation roles. Coleman also has experience as the chief financial officer of multiple publicly traded and privately owned companies. He succeeds Kevin Brandon, who will continue to serve as executive vice president to help with a smooth transition.
