Railhead Corp. will deliver to ArcelorMittal a remote monitoring and 4K video recording system to track trains in real time.

Railhead Corp. was awarded a contract to supply Luxembourg-based steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal with a remote monitoring and 4K video recording system, which will monitor in real time trains operating between mining sites and shipping ports. Railhead’s system will include fuel consumption monitoring, GPS tracking and integration to existing onboard systems and event recorders. The system will be used at ArcelorMittal’s iron-ore mining operations in Quebec.

Dan Marks has been named CEO of Edwin Bohr Electronics, a manufacturer of electrical and electro-mechanical components. Marks has more than 20 years of experience in the aftermarket rail and transit industries, including business strategy, operations, sales and marketing leadership. Prior to taking on his current role, he was vice president of sales for a wheel, axle and gear manufacturer.

Road & Rail Services received the Processor of the Year and Special Recognition awards at the 2022 Honda Logistics Conference in Palos Verdes, California. The Processor of the Year Award recognized the company’s Marysville, Ohio, plant for outstanding quality, processing and services. The Special Recognition Award was given for accessory installation services in Lincoln, Alabama. R&RS was also nominated for a supplier Challenging Spirit Award, which honors suppliers who exceed Honda’s expectations.

RailPros has promoted Joe North to senior vice president of passenger- and transit-rail partnerships. North will oversee client development services for transit-rail relationships. He has more than 40 years of transit industry experience and also has worked for North American strategy and engineering consulting firms. North joined RailPros in 2018 as VP for the Northeast market.
