Duos Technologies Inc. announced its artificial intelligence and machine vision technology and systems, which are used to analyze fast-moving vehicles, are ready for full-scale deployment across the North American rail network. The company’s rail-car inspection portal platform is installed at 13 sites on North American freight-dominant routes, company officials said in a press release. Duos has conducted more than 7 million scans on more than 500,000 rail cars in the past 12 months. The company was also awarded a contract last year to scan high-speed passenger trains, with the two initial installation sites in the Northeast and anticipated expansions to other regions.

Nexxiot has partnered with Nexyst 360, a grain transportation solution provider, to digitalize Nexyst’s fleet of grain shipping containers with zero-maintenance IoT connectivity hardware. The digitalization will enable real-time transportation intelligence during a container’s entire journey from origin to destination through Nexyst’s software solution, Traceable AG LLC. The software links farmers, buyers and retailers/consumers who use the ‘smart’ NexBox container to keep farm produce transportation accountable. When combined with NexBox and Traceable AG, Nexxiot hardware improves security, efficiency and provenance monitoring.
