Rail supplier news from ENSCO, Hitachi Rail and Tai Ginsberg (April 25)


Hitachi Rail will begin testing trains and battery technology at the Global Centre of Rail Excellence's testing facility in Wales.

ENSCO was awarded a five-year contract by the Federal Railroad Administration to provide operations, maintenance, IT services and engineering support for FRA’s fleet of track inspection vehicles. ENSCO has worked for FRA's Automated Track Inspection Program since 1974.

Hitachi Rail signed an agreement with the Global Centre of Rail Excellence in the United Kingdom to test new British-built trains, battery technology and other digital products at the center’s Wales facility. The center will use artificial intelligence to predict preventative maintenance needs.

Tai Ginsberg and Associates LLC has been hired by the States for Passenger Rail Coalition to help advance intercity passenger-rail promotion goals in Washington, D.C. The firm is focused primarily on the transportation and infrastructure sectors and provides policy analysis and political strategy skills.
