R. J. Corman Railroad Services, part of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, this week opened an emergency response division in Waterville, Maine, to support customers in the northeast United States. The emergency response divisions can respond around the clock any day of the week to railroads' emergency response needs, such as re-railing locomotives and rail cars to post-derailment cleanups, load transfers and adjustments, debris and hazmat removal, washout repair, snow removal and traction motor changes, company officials said in a press release.

Loram Technologies Inc. this week held a groundbreaking ceremony in Georgetown, Texas, for the company's future Global Rail Campus, a 92,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art corporate office and facility rail access. Attending the event was U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-Texas). Delivering remarks at the ceremony were Carter, Loram President Greg Grissom, Loram CEO Bradley Willems and Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder, according to a press release issued by the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association and the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association. Loram is a member of both associations. Loram has manufacturing facilities and corporate offices in Minnesota, Illinois and Texas.
