Miner Enterprises Inc. announced John Swezey will become president and general manager on Nov. 1. Currently head of Miner subsidiary Powerbrace Corp., Swezey will take over duties from Ric Biehl, who is retiring after more than 47 years with Miner. Swezey’s "engineering expertise and command of manufacturing technologies, inventory optimization and data-driven distribution systems will benefit Miner and its customers in countless ways," said Biehl in a press release. Under Biehl’s leadership, Miner grew its "global presence and reputation for providing innovative, engineering-driven solutions for many of the toughest challenges in rail-car performance," Swezey said.

Distribusion Technologies, a Berlin-based ground transportation technology company, has entered into a partnership with Brightline, the intercity passenger railroad company in Florida, to provide riders with more options to book tickets through domestic and international online travel retailers. Facilitated by the integration of Distribusion's application programing interface, the partnership extends Brightline’s accessibility to more than 150 travel retailers, including Busbud, Wanderu, Expedia, GetYourGuide, Omio and Trainline. Distribusion will also power Brightline’s integration to Google Maps and Google Transit.
