HNTB has hired Michelle Buonacuore as construction services manager. She has more than 12 years of design, project management and construction management experience in the transit and rail sectors. At HNTB, Buonacuore will lead major transit and rail programs for clients, including Amtrak and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Prior to joining the firm, she made notable contributions at another consulting firm, where she worked on Amtrak’s platform replacement and state-of-good-repair improvements at Lancaster Station, the Amtrak New Jersey high-speed rail improvement program, SEPTA’s Ardmore Transit Center and other projects, HNTB officials said in a press release.

Wabtec Corp. has achieved the IEC 62443-4-1 certification, a benchmark for cybersecurity development lifecycle processes used on industrial automation and control systems products. The certification from LCIE-Bureau Veritas attests to the company's secure product development processes for customers in the rail, transit, mining, industrial and marine industries, Wabtec officials said in a press release. The certification process evaluated Wabtec’s product development and lifecycle management practices.
