Three of STV’s major design projects have completed construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s District 8 2024 program, including the bridge preservation on Marietta Avenue over Norfolk Southern Railroad (NS) track in East Hempfield Township. STV is also nearing completion on the design of the King Street Bridge replacement over NS track in Shippensburg Borough and Southampton Township. STV anticipates construction on that bridge will begin in fall.

Alstom and DT Infrastructure have been awarded a contract valued at 1 billion euros to install a new automatic train-control system to replace the Public Transit Authority’s existing signaling and train-control systems in Perth, Western Australia. The state-of-the-art Urbalis communications-based train control system will be designed, supplied, installed, tested and commissioned by Alstom and DT in an alliance with the authority on Perth’s suburban rail network.
